In Team BG, charge cards are used to level up your randomly assigned cards to their full power to use against the other team. In KoTR, charge cards are used to restore your cards to full power.
These charge cards are used to power up a card. King of the Ring and Team Battleground share a mechanic in which players randomly earn a “Charge” Card while playing basic modes. Boasting quite a few different game modes: Wild Mode (anything goes), Ranked (Put your best cards in), Royal Rumble (try to hold the ring as long as possible), King of the Ring (a tournament with your best cards against other players), Money in the Bank (where you have a deck and try to earn contracts for getting exclusive cards), Ring Domination (a kind of Rock’s Paper Scissors event using the arrows on the cards (Left, Right, Up Down), Road to Glory (Where you have your best cards competing in 4 rounds against another play to earn points towards each unlockable card), and Team Variants of Ring Domination and Road to Glory, there is also the newest mode: Team Battleground (possibly inspired by WWE Champions Faction Battles). Once at max level, these cards can be combined with another of the same card to create what is considered a “Pro”, which if done correctly by training the card stats in matches, and being sure to level to it’s highest (depending on the rarity) level, can be a great help to your deck. Each card has specific stats, and can be leveled up. WWE Supercard takes the idea of collectible card games and adds a few twists to it.
One of the fun aspects of Champions is watching the wrestling match play out as you and the AI collect Jewels to power your moves. The Team mode sees you join a Faction, and then when the Faction Brawl is available, the first 10 members of the faction to join fight 10 members of the opposing faction, with rewards going towards the winning Faction. Sometimes, the game forces you into such a match, to prepare you for whatever happens. While you can beat a type that your type is weak against, keep in mind that unless that character is highly leveled, the damage increase that you take can easily take you out faster. There are multiple types of the characters, with one type beating another and so on. In Champions, players are tasked with assembling a roster of current/former Wrestlers, leveling them up and above all, matching the jewels. WWE Champions is a variant on the much beloved “Bejeweled” format of matching and collecting jewels.
